Johannians85 Football team

One of the most talk about subject is football. During the primary days, we kicked balls made from newspaper and cello tapes. Plenty of it.

There were many football talents.  However we were divided by St.John's primary 1 & 2 football team. Two formidable football teams. As far as we can remember, there were no photos of it taken by both schools team but there were many stories to tell.

As we enter secondary school in St.John's Institution, we were united.

1985 Under 18yrs SJI football team. Coach by none other than Cikgu David Fernandez. There were 10 players from Johannians85.

At present we have our very own johannians85 football team managed by Jamel Khamis and Captain Mohammad Buang.

We were fortunate to have many who sacrifice their time for our football team. They know who they are and keep up the team spirit.

Our proudest moment is when we johannians85 vs Ampang Road 85 at the iconic Stadium Merdeka Kuala Lumpur.

Captain Muhammad Buang Said " we came here with 16 players, Ampang boys came with 40 players and the rotate players effectively over 4 time outs, Nevertheless, we appreciate our Jos85 yang datang main n yang datang sokong too. It was a great day to gather"
